Hi Aafi. Could you take a look at File:Pete Jonas Outside Lands.png? The uploader first uploaded it locally to English Wikipedia as en:File:Pete Jonas performing at outside lands.png. The file was tagged for lacking permission per en:WP:F11. The uploader now has reuploaded the file to Commons under a slightly different name and is claiming it to be their "own work". This could just be a good-faith misunderstanding of COM:Own work and COM:NETCOPYVIO because the uploader has also uploaded two other files sourced to Instagram. Regardless, I don't think Commons can keep any of these without VRT verification. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:25, 14 March 2025 (UTC)
